It came back. For some reason absolutely unknown to me, my wordpress blog was unaccessible for the better part of 2 weeks. Then just yesterday I noticed that it came back online. It must have been a problem at Dreamhost. In any case I’m back up and posting from my WordPress Dash widget on my Mac Book Pro. w00t!
Right now I’m doing laundry (stinky, stinky laundry) in Moab, UT. This is the first sign of civilization that we’ve had in days. Actually I take that back. The RV park where we stayed in Bluff, UT had a wi-fi connection. But Moab is different. It’s definitely a much more touristy town than I ever realized. Touristy can be good when you’ve been out of touch for a few days.
Yesterday was Dead Horse Point State Park and Canyonlands National Park (both are in Utah if you didn’t know). We were scouting for a good sunset point and I think we found one in a place called the Green River Overlook at Canyonlands NP. We got a pretty good sunset so I think we were all happy.
Today is Arches this afternoon and evening. My goal is to get to the delicate arch for some sunset shots. Other than that I really don’t care where we go. I’d like to be here for a week going various places to shoot sunrises and sunsets the whole time. Maybe someday with Beth and peanut (or peanuts if it’s a long time in the future).
Tomorrow we head out and I’m ever so glad. I’m definitely itching to get home. I haven’t decided which route I’m going to take to get home. I’d like to go to the Great Basin National Park for an evening or morning. Maybe that’s what I’ll do. Vegas for a night then Ely, Nevada for a night. Scout the Great Basin on the way in for shots and get out there early the next morning for some sunrise goodness. Then hit the road to Boise, ID from there. One night in Boise and then home from there. If I’m doing my math right, that means I’ll end up being home by the 30th.
Hopefully my math is right…

Mike,
Sounds like an awesome trip! Hope you get a lot of great shots and have a safe trip home. I’ll be on the look for your pictures.
